NERVES – LiveWest of Ireland’s noise-punk force Nerves return with their second EP Iarmhaireacht, produced by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band), and the brand new single “Takes A Second”.
Since their 2024 EP Glórach, the band have built a fierce reputation for raw, uncompromising live shows — selling out headline gigs across Ireland and sharing stages with The Jesus Lizard, Maruja, and HMLTD. Their April release Dirty Fingers earned early praise from Kerrang!, The Line of Best Fit, Hot Press, and Louder Than War.
“Takes A Second” captures the essence of Iarmhaireacht: tension, collapse, and emotional unease. It’s a record that tackles mental health, substance abuse, emigration, and rural Irish identity — weaving together archival samples, folklore, and Irish language into something both deeply personal and culturally resonant.
