About this Event

The focus of this session is, Deprescribing: A series of case studies in practice

We invite you to join us at our next North East North Cumbria Overprescribing Community of Practice meeting.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Henry Woodford who will discuss his approach to deprescribing and medicines optimisation in a selection of case studies in clinical practice. Please see further information on Dr Woodford below.

Dr Henry Woodford was born in York and trained in medicine at King’s College London. He is currently employed as a consultant geriatrician at Northumbria Healthcare in the northeast of England. He has a particular interest in medicine optimisation for older people and is current chair of the relevant British Geriatrics Society special interest group. Other publications include the textbooks Essential Geriatrics and co-authoring Geriatric Medicine: 300 Specialty Certificate Exam Questions. Outside of work, he tries to keep fit through circuit training, running and indoor bouldering.

During the session

We will keep participants muted whilst we are presenting. This avoids distracting our speakers and reduces sensory stimulation which is important for some people. However, if you wish to ask a question you can do this by adding it to the chatbox.

Please feel free to turn your camera on and off as you need to. If you need it off the whole time, that is totally fine.

If you need a break at any time during the session, then please leave the meeting and re-join again when you feel ready.
