A beloved longtime resident, Linsk arrived in Palm Springs in 1962 and has remained a defining influence on the city’s culture, architecture, fashion, art, and design. On the anniversary of her star dedication, Modernism Week will host a special rededication ceremony, adding the title First Lady of Modernism Week to the granite tribute. The celebration will take place at the downtown Walk of the Stars location of Linsk’s star and will include the unveiling of the refurbished star, featuring newly added language.
A celebratory crowd, guest speakers, and live music will mark the beginning of Modernism Week 2026 festivities.
