About this Event
To recognise the global UN Women campaign of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence (GBV), All Change Arts and London Metropolitan University have organised and collaborate on Sisterhood in the Neighbourhood. This collection will feature work created by London Met staff, students and All Change Arts young artists representing the connection between women and girls in the community through their shared experience of violence against women and girls. With crimes against women often solely presented as statistics, this exhibition aims to give power to women’s voices through solidarity, sisterhood and starting conversations for much needed change.
We will be taking up space at Resource for London to discuss the inspiration behind the work, how the work was created and why we need to focus on tackling violence against women and girls.
There will be a drinks recpetion with catering provided.
