This beginner-friendly Night Studio workshop series shows you how to create engaging stop motion videos using just your smartphone — no fancy equipment or prior experience needed.Across four relaxed evening sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of stop motion animation step by step. From planning a simple story and setting up your shots to capturing frames, editing, and exporting your finished video, this series is designed to build your skills gradually and confidently.
Whether you’re a creative, content creator, educator, small business owner, or just keen to try something new, this hands-on series offers a supportive space to learn, experiment, and connect with others.

Neighbourhood Night Studio is a relaxed, welcoming after-hours creative space where adults can explore art, learn new skills, and connect with others in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Running weekly in the early evening, the program is designed for beginners and non-artists, with an emphasis on process over perfection and people over performance. To remove barriers and make participation easy, sessions are low-cost, wheelchair accessible, and supported with clear, encouraging guidance. To further support inclusion, free dinner and on-site childcare will be provided, making it easier for parents and carers to attend, slow down, and enjoy time for creativity, connection, and wellbeing.
