Once again, I've been invited to lead a hand drumming workshop and drum circle as part of the annual New England Folk Festival.This year, they've scheduled the workshop and drum circle back-to-back, so you can go right from one into the other, or attend whichever of the two you choose.
Both are geared towards a general audience that assumes most people are beginners. But more experienced drummers are welcome to participate too. There will be a pile of drums on hand for people to borrow, but you're encouraged to bring your own tent if you can.
The workshop goes from noon to 1pm and the drum circle goes from 1pm to 2pm.
All NEFFA workshops are included as part of your admission, so once you've paid to get in, you can attend whatever workshops, sessions or performances are on the schedule. The festival runs for the whole weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) and there are LOTS of things to do, including a food court and vending of all sorts of folk music stuff, so I highly recommend coming for the day and exploring all the cool things going on.
We'll be located in the festival tent, so we'll be under cover in case it rains.
