About this Event
Our Nearshore Fishing 101 is an introductory class to nearshore fishing. This class will teach skills on how to tie fishing knots, how to rig a rod and reel, casting, and the general basics to nearshore fishing. Kids from ages 6 to adults are welcome, so come out to Bass Pro Shops and enjoy the class! You must RSVP to attend.
Details for the event:
• What to bring: Dress is casual. Check the weather report and dress appropriately. You will be inside. Other items to consider bringing include snacks and a reusable water bottle. It is always helpful to have a notebook handy to take notes.
• Costs: The class is free of charge.
• Weather: Classes are held rain or shine unless hazardous weather occurs (like a hurricane).
• Parking: Just park in the parking lot at Bass Pro Shops and walk on in. The classroom is towards the back of the building.

If an attendee cancels their ticket without a valid excuse and/or is a no show, SCDNR has the right to refuse the attendee to participate in any SCDNR public program for a year.
