About this Event
NEA Big Read Zine Workshops with Flat Black at the Palm Springs Certified Farmers’ Market
March 7 and March 14
Join us for a series of hands-on zine workshops inspired by Bite by Bite: Nourishments & Jamborees. These interactive sessions invite participants to explore themes of food, memory, culture, and community through creative self-publishing.
During each one-hour workshop, participants will create their own mini zine using collage, writing prompts, drawing, and mixed-media materials. Guided exercises will encourage reflection on how food connects us—to family traditions, cultural identity, and community. No prior art or writing experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
These workshops are funded by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of the NEA Big Read program. The zine workshops are offered in partnership with Flat Black Art Supply.
All are welcome.
