About this Event

Meditation in Nature is an opportunity for you to switch-off and experience a deep sense of calm whilst enjoying the beauty of the grounds at The Whitworth. When we are mindful in nature, we are able to be in the present moment much quicker than if we were indoors, this is because nature offers us an abundance of beauty and our natural curiosity is heightened by the sights, sounds and smells. At the end of the session, you will experience feeling lighter, less stressed and having a sense that you have connected to something bigger than yourself. These sessions are delivered by our Natural and Cultural Health Service Partner, Lilasuri (Claire) Morris from Wild Awake Mindfulness.

Step into a shared experience of quiet attention and gentle wonder as we practice together in the Alex Bernstein Garden. A guided session inspired by the Delaine Le Bas Exhibition and her deep engagement with magic, folklore, and witchcraft.

This Meditation in Nature experience invites you to slow down, attune your senses, and reconnect with the natural world as a site of ritual, care, and transformation. Through simple mindfulness practices, moments of stillness, and guided reflection, we will explore themes of intuition, ancestral knowledge, and the unseen energies that shape our relationship with nature. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to pause, listen, and be present.

To attend, please arrive no later than 6pm and head to our park side reception. Please note that our park side entrance doors will be closed from 5pm and so access is via the main Oxford Road entrance.
