About this Event
Strengthening Foster Care in NC: A Research Briefing for Policymakers
Join us in person for a half-day convening focused on foster parent recruitment and retention in North Carolina.
With support from the North Carolina Collaboratory, the SPARK-FC Legislative Briefing brings together preliminary insights from a statewide research-practice partnership pairing county DSS teams with university researchers from UNC, Duke, and ECU. Over the course of the afternoon, attendees will hear research updates from county teams, explore policy recommendations on topics including kinship care, performance metrics, and predictive analytics, and engage in facilitated discussion about future research priorities for the state.
The event will close with a panel conversation on what implementation looks like on the ground and what comes next.
