NBS Science & Faith Symposiums
End of Life Care: Science and Technology at the Service of Humankind
About the event
This session is the third one in our free evening events series titled 'NBS Science and Faith Symposiums'. At this event, our community (students, families, parish priests, and parishioners) will get to hear from a variety of experts in bioethics, theology, philosophy, and politics, share a meal, and take part in roundtable discussions and activities to reflect on the relationship between these disciplines. We want to discover, dialogue, and discern together. We're proud to partner with Caritas Westminster for this event.
In their talks, Baroness Julie Smith of Newnham and Prof David Albert Jones will reflect on the challenges that affect the way we think about medicine and the development of biomedical technologies, the significance of the care of the sick, the complexities of healthcare delivery, ethical and legal boundaries, and our social responsibility toward the most vulnerable. This event will feature discussions around the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email the project co-director Miss Gallego ([email protected]).
