If you have played cornhole with us, there is a pretty good chance that you know Mindy Sponagle! In addition to being one of the most positive people around (and pretty good at cornhole) she also runs an annual campaign to raise money for Special Olympics Massachusetts. Previously, this has been strongly based around the Applebee's (Saugus) where she works as a manager. This year, she is reaching out to the cornhole community to help out this great cause. As you can see in the picture, she's asking YOU to come on out and be a part of this event!We've decided to partner up with her to create a fun and casual event to help support this great cause. Join us in the hall of the Newburyport Elks on Sunday, April 26th at Noon. We are going to keep this fun with just a $40/team buy in. We will play four rounds of round robin into a split bracket (50/50) double elimination tournament. There will be payouts for the top performing teams in each bracket. In addition to this, we will have a number of raffle prizes and baskets on site to take a chance on. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Special Olympics Massachusetts.
This tournament is open to all ages and ability levels. Just grab a partner and make your way to the Newburyport Elks on Sunday, April 26th at Noon. A good time is sure to be had by all!
