About this Event
Auckland DHB has completed a new Kidney Centre building in Glen Innes on land provided by Tāmaki Regeneration Company. It is a single storey purpose built building with 12 dialysis stations and 4 clinic rooms. The construction started in July 2020 and will be completed in July 2021.
The Kererū Kidney Centre is designed to reflect the shift toward a new model of care for patients, making renal services more accessible by locating them within the community.
As patients typically spend four to six hours, three days a week at the centre, the new treatment spaces are designed to be more homely, with plenty of natural daylight and views overlooking new landscaped gardens.
Our guest speaker will be Kathy PeacockProject Manager, Facilities & Development at Auckland District Health Board.
Kathy is an experienced Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. Having been with Auckland DHB for over 32 years, Kathy will share her journey from working as a Charge Nurse, to working in the Facility Project Management role.
