PhD-focused forum on interdisciplinarity: share challenges, discuss strategies, and connect with researchers across CoSS
About this Event

Organised by the 'Peaceful, Secure and Empowered Societies' Interdisciplinary Research Theme of the College of Social Sciences, University of Glasgow, this event is designed for PhD researchers interested in exploring the practical dimensions of interdisciplinarity.

It will provide an open forum for participants to reflect on what interdisciplinarity means within their own work, and to discuss the methodological, institutional, and intellectual challenges that can arise in interdisciplinary research contexts.

PhD researchers at all stages are warmly invited to join, whether they are engaged in interdisciplinary research or simply interested in learning more.

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and strategies related to navigating cross-disciplinary research, positioning interdisciplinary work for publication, exploring career options, and identifying appropriate funding pathways. The event also aims to facilitate connections among doctoral researchers from different schools, facilitating peer exchange and potential collaboration.

The event will be facilitated by PSES IRT Theme Leads. Light refreshments will be provided.
