This session lays the foundation for understanding how the federal government buys goods and services—and how small businesses can successfully compete. Participants will gain a strong grasp of the federal acquisition process, including the differences between Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs). Learn how to identify opportunities through direct awards and socio-economic set-asides (e.g., SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone), and understand your role as either a prime contractor or subcontractor.
