Register here: https://givebutter.com/navigating-child-welfare-kob6cuThis course prepares mandatory reporters with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and report child abuse and neglect, including an overview of the different types of abuse and their prevalence in Nebraska.Participants will learn to identify signs of abuse and neglect, understand the various forms children may experience, and recognize when concerns warrant action. The training outlines appropriate response steps, reporting procedures, and what to expect after a report of child abuse or neglect is made. It also emphasizes the importance of self-care and provides strategies to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being while doing this critical work.
A free meal will be provided for those who register for the event.
This event is open to any adult community member, as all adult Nebraskans are mandatory reporters.
