Coordinated Fire Attack Making The Push
Fire attack is the most fundamental and universal tactic, which all agencies conduct at every fire. While deployment models vary, the principles and practices remain consistent. As the old saying goes, “More lives have been saved by a properly positioned and operated handline than all other means.” Yet, the process of fire attack is often neglected and viewed as a menial task. Like any other skillset, achieving high-performance requires systematic methodology and deliberate preparation. This program aims to abolish the unprofessional mentality of “just put the wet stuff on the red stuff.” A comprehensive, yet simplistic approach is taken to provide an operational framework. With a functional understanding of fire attack, participants can leverage the full suppressive power of their handlines and successfully make the push.
