Welcome to Nature’s Path to School Readiness — an evening designed to bring families and educators together for a powerful, practical and inspiring look at what truly supports children as they transition into school.
This free conference is built around a whole-child perspective. School readiness is not just about letters and numbers or name writing — it’s about confidence, regulation, movement, communication, relationships and a strong sense of belonging. Our goal is to connect you with the professionals, educators and real-world strategies that nurture these foundations in meaningful, everyday ways.
We are proud to bring together an exceptional panel of specialists who each play a vital role in supporting children’s development:
From an Early Learning educational perspective, you’ll hear from Shelby (3-5 room leader) and Kylie (educational leader), university-trained early childhood educators and leaders who guide our school readiness programs. They will unpack what intentional early learning looks like in practice and how strong foundations are built long before a child enters a classroom.
We are also honoured to welcome Haylee Heffernan, university-trained, multi-award-winning business owner and co-director, who will share the philosophy and innovative programs implemented at Liv2Learn and Gumnut Kidz — and how our approach differs in supporting confident, capable learners.
Little Heroes OT — sharing how occupational therapy builds independence, regulation and functional skills
Early Goals Speech Therapy — exploring communication, language and social confidence
Contigo Physiotherapy — highlighting the role of movement, coordination and physical development
Wild Flower Psychology — offering insight into emotional wellbeing and resilience
A cornerstone of the evening will be the insights shared by primary school teachers, whose perspective is essential in understanding what children truly need in the lead-up to formal schooling. Their experience working directly within the classroom provides invaluable clarity on the skills, dispositions and readiness foundations that make a meaningful difference when children begin school. This bridge between early learning and primary education helps families and educators align expectations and support children with confidence and purpose.
Nature’s Path is about collaboration, clarity and empowering families and educators with practical knowledge. Together, we will explore what readiness truly means — and how we can support every child to step forward with confidence.
We’re excited to walk this path with you.
