About this Event
We’d like to invite you to an Intro to Birdwatching at Malibu Lagoon State Beach. Where the mountains lean into the sea and the lagoon breathes with the tide, we’ll gather for a slow and intentional morning of observation, presence, and connection. This coastal estuary is alive with movement…wings overhead, shorebirds tracing the water’s edge, and quiet songs hidden in the reeds.
This one is special. Just Trek x Nature’s Palette are coming together to guide you into the world of birdwatching. A beginner-friendly experience designed to help you slow down, notice deeply, and begin to understand the rhythms of bird life along the Pacific Flyway.
We’ll go over the basics:
• How to use binoculars
• How to spot movement before color
• Listening for calls and identifying silhouettes
• Understanding why Malibu Lagoon matters along the Pacific Flyway
*Binoculars will be available to borrow (free of charge).
No experience needed, just an open heart and a little curiosity. Come stand at the edge of water and sky. The birds are already waiting.
