About this Event
Welcome to Nature writing for city folk! Are you a city dweller or visitor looking to (re)connect with nature? Join us at Calton Hill (Edinburgh) on Wednesday 24th September at 10am to do just that.
Gathering from 9.45am at Greenside Path (where Royal Terrace and Blenheim Place meet, just behind London Road Gardens), we'll set out at 10am to explore the nature on and around Calton Hill — guided by prompts and exercises designed to deepen your connection to this beautiful place, on your own terms.
It costs £20 to particpate and 10 places are available. You are welcome to email to arrange to pay me directly (and avoid the Eventbrite fee), or to arrange to pay what you can if the cost is otherwise prohibitive: [email protected]
No writing experience is needed, and all levels are welcome. Just bring along:
- your favourite notepad and pen
- clothing for the weather
- something to sit on (e.g. rainjacket or plastic bag)
- a wee snack or cosy drink, if you fancy
If you have any access needs that I should factor in, I'd love to hear from you in advance to chat about how I can best support you in accessing our session: [email protected]
Truly looking forward to exploring some nature writing practices together with you,
Aileen
