The Birds of Haigh
Join Dave Winnard - Discover the Wild (ABOUT | Discover the Wild) for a two hour birdwatching nature walk around Haigh.
If you are new to birdwatching, or a more advanced twitcher, then this short walk will introduce you to the birdlife of Haigh Hall. The park plays host to a variety of bird species, from woodpeckers and owls, to wintering thrushes and summering swallows.
Join us on a seasonal walk to discover more about our feathery friends at Haigh Woodland Park and learn how to identify them from sight and sound. The park is a great place to learn about woodland and parkland birds, and on our walk we will even keep an ear and eye out for the Willow Tit, a declining species where parts of the park are still a good place to spot this little bird.
Please note, the walk route will be over uneven ground, so sturdy footwear is advised.
Please arrive at the Visitors Centre for a 10am prompt start.
Drinks and food are available to purchase before / after the walk.
Car parking charges apply - £3.50 for over 90 minutes.
