Step out of the rush and into something slower.
About this Event
'Nature Steps' are gentle, guided walks created to offer small but nourishing moments of connection — with nature, with others, and with yourself. These walks are an invitation to pause, breathe, and notice the living world around you, one unhurried step at a time.
Rooted in forest bathing–inspired practices, each walk offers simple, optional nature connection invitations. There is no need for prior experience, fitness goals, or deep knowledge of nature — just a willingness to walk slowly and be curious.
What the Walks Are Like
* Slow, mindful walking at a relaxed, comfortable pace
* Gentle nature connection invitations (inspired by shinrin-yoku / forest bathing)
* Time to notice colours, textures, sounds, and seasonal shifts
* Moments of quiet presence, alongside optional shared reflections
* A warm pause for herbal tea along the way (bring a mug if you can — a few will be available to borrow)
These sessions are spacious and welcoming. You are free to join in as much or as little as feels right for you.
Why Slow Walking?
Moving slowly outdoors allows the nervous system to settle and the senses to open. Many people find that gentle nature connection can:
* Reduce stress and mental busyness
* Support a sense of calm and groundedness
* Foster a feeling of belonging — to place and to community
* Renew attention and appreciation for the natural world
'Nature Steps' are not about achieving anything — they are about being.
Community & Connection
These walks are an opportunity to feel part of something simple and human: people gathering to walk together, notice together, and share the landscape for a while. Conversation is welcome, silence is welcome, and everything in between.
