🌿🐝 As part of Durham Markets’ 175th anniversary celebrations, we’re hosting a special Nature Nook event in the Market Place on Friday, 10th April, in partnership with City of Durham Parish Council. It will be a fun, family-friendly day all about connecting people with nature. 🐞🌻The day will be packed with hands-on activities for families and children, including things like:
🌱 Planting seeds
🦟 Building bee and bug hotels
🪴 Decorating plant pots
🌻 Growing sunflower and herb seedlings
🐦 Making bird feeders from recycled materials
We’ll also have interactive stalls, demonstrations, and opportunities for you to learn more about wildlife, nature, sustainability and growing your own food. You will even have the opportunity to take a look at a beehive (weather-dependent)! 🐝
