Agenda

?: 02:00 PM - 02:15 PM
Welcome
?: 02:15 PM - 02:45 PM
Talk: How Nature Neighborhoods Connect Us and Restore Wildlife

Info: Ecologist River Six, author of the Alwoodley Nature Corridors report, will share how our neibhourhoods - common areas, private gardens, grass verges - can be put to use to help endangered species return. As our neighbourhoods were once meadows, woodland, and waterways, we can tap into the ecological history and create more safe passage and habitats, and we can also make our area more beautiful.

?: 02:45 PM - 03:30 PM
Mapping Workshop, Refreshments, Action Plannning
Host: Rebecca Brunk, Unniversity of Leeds

Info: Do you live along a designated nature corridor? https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/1/edit?mid=1KYeieX4I9Fb9nyq8nsGgtzvH21SMUjY&ll=53.851516924373186%2C-1.532206649799177&z=15 Let's explore together what's already happening to foster connection between humans and nature, and think together about how we can further develop the woodland, meadow and waterway corridors.

?: 03:30 PM - 04:00 PM
1 Metre Matters Meadow Demonstration
Host: River Six

Info: Learn how to prepare a small patch of your garden so that it is ready for sowing wildflower seeds in March. This is perfect for you if you live on one of our designated meadow corridors because we are asking that all involved participate in 1-metre-matters, and designate at least that much of your garden as a wildflower patch. How many additional metres of wildflower do you think we can add to our nature neighbourhoods this spring?

?: 03:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Winter Bundle Collection & Kids Activities

Info: Children's activities TBC soon! You'll also be able to collect your instructions for meadow, woodland and waterway activities to complete in February. If you live on the priority meadow corridor, you'll also be able to pick up your winter bundle!
