Reconnect with the natural world in this mindful workshop led by award-winning botanical artist and illustrator Sandra Morris. Set in the historic garden and visitor center of Nairn Street Cottage, you’ll learn how to observe, draw, and write from nature, whether for identification or simply for pleasure. Nature journaling invites us to notice the intricate relationships between plant and creature, decay and growth, and the quiet beauty often missed in the rush of daily life. Through sketches, diagrams, poems, lists, or prose, you’ll discover your own way of recording the world around you.
All materials provided, however, please feel free to bring your own preferred drawing tools, such as watercolour pens, colour pencils and your own journal if you already have one underway.
Sunday 9 November, 10am-12:30pm
Tickets $65.00
Bookings essential
Sandra will also be doing an Introduction to Botanical Drawing and Plant Inks workshop on Saturday, 8 November. Make a weekend of it and book both to receive a $20 discount.
