About this Event
Have you ever wanted to try nature journaling but you don't know where to start? Maybe spending time outside brings you a lot of joy and you want to develop skills to express that joy in a creative way. This three-day workshop is for all adults (18+) who are interested in learning basic nature journaling skills and principles.
Day 1 (May 19th, 8-10am): Learn about metadata, data that helps capture position, condition, and context of your observation. Record nature data using words to describe everything you are experiencing through your senses.
Day 2 (May 20th, 8-10am): Practice skills from day 1. Explore how to record information through observational sketching. No art experience required.
Day 3 (May 21st, 8-10am): Quantify observations to discover patterns and details you might otherwise miss. Learn skills for making quick estimations and approximations.
This class is IN-PERSON and space is limited. The instructor for this class is Colorado Master Gardener and Native Plant Master, Sue Wright.
