This nature-inspired art course is designed to introduce students to foundational drawing and painting skills through guided, hands-on instruction. Throughout the week, students will learn how to carefully observe the world around them and turn what they see into artwork using age-appropriate techniques and step-by-step lessons.
Students will explore subjects such as plants, animals, landscapes, and weather while practicing important art concepts including line work, shape recognition, proportion, color mixing, texture, and composition. Projects may include drawing, painting, simple printmaking, and mixed-media activities inspired by nature and the outdoors.
Each class includes structured instruction, guided practice, and independent project time to help students build confidence and strengthen their artistic skills through repetition and observation. Students will also be introduced to beginner-friendly art vocabulary and learn about artists whose work is inspired by nature.
All materials are provided. This is an instructional art program focused on creative skill development, artistic techniques, and hands-on learning in a structured classroom environment.
