About this Event
Join us as we kick off the school year and our 2025-2026 Nature Fun-Day Series with our first Nature Fun-Day of the season, "Nature & Literacy." This Nature Fun-Day will celebrate, nature and how it inspires writers and readers alike! Stations will be set up all around the center and each one will focus on a different nature-themed children’s book. Each station will also incorporate a craft that goes along with its respected book. So come learn, create, and discover with us as we explore nature and literacy!
Books Bridge Bus: The Books Bridge Bus will also be joining us to celebrate and each child will be able to receive a free book!
Nature Book Read-a-Loud: During the event, several of our selected nature-themed books will be read aloud in the Nature Center. These read-a-louds are open to readers of all ages!
Date & Time : Saturday, September 13th, 9:30am-12:00pm
Location: The flexi-pave trail leading out from the Discovery Center. Around the picnic pavilions. (If rain is forecasted the morning of the event, stations will be move into the Nature Center.)
Tickets & Sign-Ups: No sign-up required, but is highly recommended to help for planning purposes.
