Drawing in Nature: A Three-Part Series at Jackson Woods
Join Maggie Fischer of The Long Branch Arts & Cultural Center, for a three-part outdoor drawing series exploring observation, composition, and texture through direct engagement with nature. Over three Tuesday afternoons—May 13, 20 & 27, 12:30–2:30 PM—participants will slow down, look closely, and draw inspiration from the trees, leaves, organic forms, and beautiful lines the natural world offers.
Free and open to all levels, this class is especially welcoming to those who enjoy drawing and are open-minded about process over perfection. The focus is on seeing, exploring, and responding—rather than making “perfect” drawings. Beginners and experienced artists alike are invited.
Bring:
- Your own sketchbook
- Drawing pencils
- A towel or something to sit on if you prefer not to sit in the grass
Come ready to observe, experiment, and connect with nature through drawing.
