EXPRESS YOUR INNER NATURE
We are excited to invite you to our first international yoga retreat at Lake Atitlan in February 2025. We will be spending 7 days / 6 nights at the Mystical Yoga Farm, a beautiful off-grid retreat community on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. The retreat center is in a secluded location surrounded by three volcanoes featuring breathtaking views, three yoga shalas, permaculture gardens and lake front access. During this retreat we will explore practices to build creative life force energy, connect with nature and then express this energy through movement, music, connection and play.

IGNITE YOUR CREATIVE LIFE FORCE ENERGY
We gather at this retreat to ignite the creative life force energy within us. To feel the beauty that wants to flow through us. To sense the elements, the seasons and nature’s wisdom that we are a part of. To move, sing, dance and play in our passion and our purpose. To free our voices and claim why we are here. To remember who we truly are and what we are capable of.
MOVE - Energy
EXPRESS - Self
EMBODY - Nature
CREATE - Magick

WHAT WE’LL BE DOING
We will practice daily yoga (hatha, kundalini, yin), meditation and pranayama to connect with our inner nature while exploring the landscape around us. Workshops and activities will include hiking/walking meditation, fire/song circles, vocal activation, breathwork, cacao, movement/dance, sacred sauna, creative writing, permaculture and rituals to build habits of reciprocity with the elements and Mother Earth. We will also have the opportunity to take an off site trip to San Pedro to sit with a local Maya Tzʼutujil spiritual guide (Nana Marina Cruz) for a special fire/cacao ceremony.

DEEPENING OUR CONNECTION
Going on a Lake Atitlan yoga retreat is an opportunity to step back and temporarily withdraw from our daily routines, commitments and obligations. We invite you to drop deeper into yourself and your retreat experience by observing silent mornings and a digital detox. This retreat is an opportunity to slow down, reflect and reconnect with the nature within and around you before reentering daily life with new tools, perspectives and inspiration. When we recognize that we are nature and the sacred elements live within us it becomes instinctive to treat ourselves, the Earth and all around us as sacred.
PRESENCE - Silence
RECIPROCITY - Offering
ATTUNEMENT - Stillness
RITUAL - Reverence

CREATING WITH NATURE
Have you ever noticed that when you slow down and become present with nature a magickal co-creation begins to happen? You start to sing and a beautiful song bird flys up to greet you and sing back… You look at the clouds and they begin to dance, play and move with the wind… You gaze up at the stars and a star shoots across the sky right where you were looking… Nature wants to be witnessed in a deep presence and reverence… when it is then it will begin to speak to you.
We live in an energetic field of consciousness, an animate world that is responding to our own actions and level of consciousness. When we can learn to slow down and deeply listen, see, hear, taste and feel the world around us then we can also respond to the world as a living being. The process of creating with nature is a deep dialogue with the divine… You observe the beauty around you and it stimulates your senses, emotions, thoughts and a creative impulse to respond. The animate world listens for your response and responds back… suddenly you are in a beautiful co-creation of the present moment and have tapped into a wisdom, intelligence and creative force that goes far beyond your individual consciousness.
In permaculture we observe nature as the ultimate teacher and look for examples of how to replicate systems that exist naturally and serve life. I believe the wisdom and mimicry of nature can be applied far beyond landscapes and weaved into all that we as humans are creating. Whether our creations are focused on art, technology, music, business, education, healing or community it is crucial that we are sourcing our inspiration from and co-creating with the divine intelligence of Mother Nature. Throughout this retreat we will practice deep observation and listening to our inner world and the outer world so that we can connect with this divine intelligence and channel the unique expression of creative life force that wants to flow through us and into this world to serve life.

Matt Lawley is a yoga teacher, musician and permaculturist who believes there is an inseparable connection between healing ourselves and our ability to care for and steward the Earth. He began practicing yoga nine years ago while healing from a life-changing car accident. Yoga helped him rehab much faster than expected and soon he was feeling better than ever before. Since then yoga, meditation and breathwork have been a driving factor in his life and led him to permaculture and regenerative work. Matt’s classes focus on alignment and release in order to activate energy centers, release stuck emotions and bring awareness back to our hearts. He incorporates guitar, singing bowls and mantras into his classes as well as themes around connection to the Earth, ecosystems, elements and the nature within us. Matt is trained in Alignment-Based Hatha (500 hours), Kundalini (200 hours) and Yin Yoga (100 hours). He has also worked at a top rated yoga retreat center in Thailand and for a non-profit yoga festival. Yoga and meditation brought him to the path of permaculture and regenerative work. His goal is to offer these practices and tools as a way to bring more people into alignment with themselves and Mother Earth.

STEVEN DIMASCIO
Guest Facilitator - Breathwork, Dynamic Meditation, Live Music
Being driven to explore pursuits in nature Steven found himself pulled to his path by his intense inspirations to travel. First finding himself on the volcanic island of Ometepe in lake Nicaragua he was led to his first somatic movement worship. A place in which further explorations in this magic land deepened his path of dynamic movement, various forms of breathwork (tantric pulsation, holotropic & trauma release) and how to live with the land In the ways of permaculture. Steven is a facilitator in movement and various forms of breathwork specifically from these times. Further explorations in the high mountains of Peru is where Steven was given his first native style flute. In that gift his passion grew to finding and being guided towards an aligned mentorship where he now builds his own creations and truly brings his dreams to a living vibration via instrumentation. Steven enjoys creating sound scapes and weaving play with other artists and instruments. His deep passion is helping others find “their” instrument and aiding in the journey to discover expressive sound through music and song. Finally, called to the vortex of lake Atitlan, Steven began deepening his understanding and practice with the magical gift of Cacao medicine. He feels very aligned to work with the Spirit of Cacao in exploring the depths and beauty of the human heart. Truly his passions were created from his interests in nature and he now enjoys sharing his experiences, learnings, offerings and gifts in a heart centered way. Please feel free to open up on this exploration with the gift of laughter and smiles as Steven finds a way to integrate sacred silliness and light-hearted moments in every space.
