On this walk we’ll take a gentle ramble from the main village in Kinghorn, up to the Ecology Centre at Kinghorn Loch, through the woods and along the lochside, finding places to stop and appreciate the tranquil surroundings using ‘Nature Connection’ activities based on the Japanese concept of Shinrin-Yoku. This is often translated as ‘Forest Bathing’, but does not involve going into water. It’s about slowing down, using our senses and experiencing nature in a way that’s proven to help relieve stress and promote wellbeing. All the activities will be in the form of ‘invitations’ – participants are free to opt out or adapt the activities at any time. The walk is all about taking time to enjoy being in nature at our own pace.
The cafe at The Ecology Centre will be open for refreshments after the walk.
Part of our Communities Connected programme.
