About this Event
Nature Call To Action Campaign: Eco Weekend - Sunday 29th March | 10am–2pm
Get ready for a special Sunday session as part of the , taking place across the West Midlands throughout March.
Birmingham Settlement's will be opening its gates for three FREE community nature days - inviting local residents, families and nature-lovers to explore, learn and take hands-on action for nature and the environment right here in the city.
Get involved in as much (or as little!) as you wish, or simply visit for a coffee, a walk around our three-acre green space and a chance to unwind and enjoy time in nature.
Find us next to Edgbaston Reservoir, a Local Nature Reserve, only a short distance from Birmingham City Centre.
🌱 What’s On – Sunday 29th March
🦋 10:30am – Moth Trap Opening
Join us as we carefully open our moth trap and discover the species that visited overnight! Learn about urban biodiversity and why moths matter.
🔎 12:00pm–1:00pm – Nature Navigators Wildlife ID Walk
Come along on our Nature Navigators adventure and see what wildlife we can find together! We’ll look for birds, bugs and plants, learn their names, and discover how your discoveries help us make our green space even better for wildlife. Data collected will guide long-term biodiversity monitoring and habitat improvement across our site!
🌱 12:00pm–2:00pm – Plant with Pat
Pop into our polytunnel and get your hands in the soil with Pat! Perfect for beginners and families, you’ll plant sweet peas, marigolds and more, learn easy growing tips, and help us fill our green space with colour for spring. No experience needed - just come along and have a go!
