Slow down in the Garden's native meadow! An afternoon of guided nature bathing and botanical collage, led by nature therapy guide Juju Lane.
About this Event

The Event:

Spend a quiet summer afternoon in the Greenway Botanical Garden's native pollinator meadow. You’ll be guided through a nature bathing walk – a restorative practice of deepening your attention to the living world around you.

Following the guided nature bathing, participants will create their own botanical collages using plant materials foraged from the meadow. All materials are provided. This is an unstructured, unhurried time to make something of your own, in partnership with the meadow.

Sunday, June 14th

About Nature Bathing:

Nature bathing (also called forest bathing) is the practice of being physically present and immersed in nature, guided by a certified practitioner. The practice originated in Japan in the 1980s and has since been integrated into public health systems around the world.

It is an evidence-based health promotion practice with demonstrated benefits for immune function, anxiety, depression, pain, hypertension, stress-related conditions, attention, and energy levels. Learn more about the science.
