About this Event
Join us for some fun seasonal activities at St Nicks nature reserve. Learn new skills and meet new people. We’ll be based in the woodland - den building, fire lighting, using tools, making nature crafts, playing games, campfire cooking, learning about nature and plenty more. Campfire lunch (for example jacket potatoes, soup or toasted sandwiches with various fillings) and snacks will be provided. We will cater to dietary and allergy requirements.
Children can be left unattended with parental consent and emergency contact details.
Timings
Meet at the St Nicks playground area.
12:30-15:00 – a session for 8 -14 year olds (children can be left unattended if they have parental consent.)
Please note: If you have children who fit into both age categories please attend the under 8’s session to ensure supervision for younger children.

10:00-12:30 a session for under 8's (children must be accompanied by an adult)

What to wear
All our sessions take place outside in the woodland so dress according to the weather (eg. waterproofs/ warm layers / wellies) and wear clothes that you don't mind getting muddy. As we are in the woodland it is sometimes cooler in the shade so it is advisable to bring an extra layer.
Cost
Paid places are £7.50 per session
Free funded places available for children receiving Free School Meals – please visit York City Council - HAF Website and search for "St Nicks" to book through City of York councils designated booking system.
We are likely to be fully booked for these activities so if you are no longer able to make a session please email christine@stnicks.org.uk so we can offer the space to someone on our waiting list

We encourage all our visitors to come by foot, bicycle or bus whenever possible. There is limited parking available in front of the Environment Centre if needed.
