VCSE Information Session - Transforming Public Procurement

Changes to the Procurement Act are set to go live on 28 October 2024. The Transforming Public Procurement programme aims to simplify the procurement process, increase transparency, and support the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, and other small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in bidding for public sector contracts.

We will be hosting an information session with York's VCSE sector on Tuesday 24 July, 2pm - 4pm at the Priory Street Centre. We will be joined by Chloe Wilcox, Head of Procurement at City of York Council who will provide more details about the changes.

This event will also provide an opportunity to discuss some of the current challenges and barriers to the sector's participation in bidding for public sector contracts.
