Course SummaryThis summer, ThirdSpace Theatre invites 12 performers to depart from the large, epic theatre that it is known for. Join us for this 'play-in-a-week' course, where we will drill down into a text, working on character, emotional beats, immediacy of feeling and response, and text-based stagecraft. Dave Barnstorm will lead a weeklong intensive exploration of Twelve Angry Men, the classic and multi-award-winning screenplay, film, and stageplay. With twelve fantastic parts, this is a brilliant opportunity to get an in-depth and quickfire understanding of taking a classic text from the first stages of rehearsal to performing in front of an invited audience.
As the play we will focus on is Twelve Angry Men, there are only 12 performer places available, so make sure to book or get in touch soon! Casting will be gender-blind, so anyone can apply.
You will be contacted a few weeks before the course as we will hold auditions to best assign the roles for the rehearsals.
We hope to repeat this course yearly with a different text.
