Stage 1 Clinic (9am-4.30pm)
This clinic is where ‘horse savvy’ begins, creating a positive balance of trust and respect, eliminating common problems and safety issues. Students will begin to develop and achieve an understanding of horse psychology and have a chance to put them to practice with expert hands-on help.
Advanced Workshop Clinic (9am-4.30pm)
This clinic is open to those who have recently participated in a Stage 1 clinic and are comfortable riding in a halter. Focus will be on individual problems the rider is having at the stage he/she is at with their horse. This clinic is intended to help you continue your horsemanship through Glenn’s stages program. Glenn will try to accommodate riders at their various levels of learning and include exercises that benefit everyone and their horse. Ideally Monday, May 6th only for Stage 2 and above.
Cost per Clinic:
2 days: NSC members $567/non NSC members $582
3 days: NSC members $848/non NSC members $863
4 days: NSC members $1,129/non NSC members $1,144
5 days: NSC members $1,410/non NSC members $1,425
A minimum $300 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, balance to be paid in full by March 15th, 2026. If you cancel out of the clinic at any time, the $300 deposit is forfeited. Your balance payment will then be applied to the next Glenn Stewart Clinic in Smithers, BC (depending on when you cancel or if I can fill your spot). Payments can be made by etransfer to [email protected]. Registrations before Feb 1st, 2026 get a complimentary spectator pass worth $25/day.
Spectators Earlybird special: Tickets purchased by Feb 1st, 2026: $15/day, savings of $10 per person! Regular spectator price (also available at the door) is $25/day or family rate of $60/day.

Horses Please bring your best horse (if you have more than one). No unstarted horses or stallions, please.
Facility/Arena The clinic will be held at the Smithers Fairgrounds in one of the NSC arenas. Box stalls are available at $20/night for non NSC members, $15/night for NSC members or a weekly fee of $50 for NSC members.
Stabling Please contact Anika (250) 846 5494 for booking.
• Check in after 3 pm the day before, or 8 am the day of the clinic.
• $30 clean up deposit required upon check in.
• Please bring your own feed, buckets, forks, etc.
• Please clean your own stalls.
Start Time Start time will be 9:00 am. Riders need to be in the arena without their horses but have their horses ready to bring in to the arena with halter and lead. Clinic days are 6 hour days (9-12 and 1.30-4.30).
Lunch Breaks We will break for lunch for about an hour and a half, time enough to go to one of the restaurants in Smithers or pick up a sandwich in one of the stores.
Equipment Please bring a halter and lead. It is not a requirement but we do recommend that you bring a horseman’s stick & string, halter & lead.
