Explore natural dyeing with fresh & dried flowers and create a one-of-a-kind silk scarf in this intimate, hands-on workshop.
About this Event

Natural Dyeing with Flowers is an intimate, hands-on workshop blending creativity, learning, and slow craft.

Rooted in the For Flora Folk ethos, this experience invites you to explore how fresh and dried florals can be reused, repurposed, and transformed into lasting color through natural dyeing. Together, we’ll work with flowers not just as decoration, but as raw material - discovering how petals and botanicals imprint, bleed, soften, and surprise when paired with silk.

Designed as a relaxed, creative Sunday experience, this workshop is perfect to attend with a friend or as a gift to yourself. February is a season when flowers are everywhere - this is an invitation to give them a second life.

What You’ll Do

Participants will create a one-of-a-kind silk scarf using a botanical bundle dyeing technique with fresh and dried flowers.

Along the way, you’ll be guided through the foundations of natural dyeing - including fiber basics, preparation, and how heat and time influence color and pattern. You’ll gain insight into how flowers behave as a dye material, why silk is ideal for this process, and how natural dyeing balances intention with beautiful unpredictability.

This workshop is thoughtfully paced and beginner-friendly, designed to leave you feeling inspired and confident to continue experimenting with flowers beyond the workshop.
