Community Instructor: Becca Mathews, River Bend Homestead
Becca has a degree in Environmental Biology, and her passion for sharing this love of nature has hooked her into the field of Environmental Education. In the fall of 2023, Becca shifted the setting of her educational work by starting her own flower farm. A lot of emphasis has been put on the importance of sustainable food and meat production and Becca is trying to bring that same focus to flower production on her farm. Through programming surrounding her flowers and nature, Becca strives to inspire everyone to take the steps toward planting their first seeds, and learning to grow flowers and food of their own in symbiosis with the natural world.
