FFL Principles:
The Florida-Friendly Landscaping (FFL) program promotes nine key principles to guide homeowners and professionals in creating and maintaining sustainable, attractive landscapes. These principles focus on water conservation, reducing pollution, and preserving natural resources. The core tenets include planting the right plant in the right place, watering efficiently, fertilizing appropriately, mulching, attracting wildlife, managing yard pests responsibly, recycling yard waste, reducing storm runoff, and protecting the waterfront. By following these guidelines, gardeners can create yards that thrive in Florida's climate while minimizing their environmental impact.

Why Garden with Native Plants?
*Environmental Benefits: Native plants are adapted to local conditions, requiring less water, fertilizer, and pesticides. They also provide essential habitat and food sources for native wildlife, supporting local biodiversity.
*Low Maintenance: Once established, native plants are naturally suited to the local climate and soil, generally requiring less upkeep than non-native species.
*Cultural Significance: Native plants connect us to the history and culture of our region, fostering a unique sense of place.
*Aesthetic Appeal: Native plants offer a diverse range of colors, textures, and forms, creating beautiful and sustainable landscapes.
We look forward to your attendance 😊
