About this Event
It may be the middle of winter, but it's the perfect time to start dreaming about spring and summer planting. If you're curious about ditching water-hungry grass and plants, this class is for you.
Class Description:
Join us for an evening with local landscape designer Kenzie Millar as she shares how to thoughtfully use native and drought-tolerant plants in your yard. Kenzie will walk through design basics, plant considerations, and practical ways to create a landscape that works with our climate.
Participants are encouraged to bring questions about their own projects to discuss together as a group. This creates space for shared learning, inspiration, and community conversation.
About the Instructor:
Kenzie Millar graduated from South Dakota State University in 2010 with a degree in Landscape Architeture and has over 17 years of experience in the green industry. Her background includes work with McCrory Gardens, Black Hills Landscaping, landscape garden centers, Jolly Lane Greenhouse, and her own landscape business. She currently works as a Landscape Designer with Interstate Engineering (formerly TerraSite Design). Kenzie is passionate about horticulture, design, and sharing her knowledge with others.
This class sold out the first time we hosted it, so we're offering it twice. Choose the date that works best for you: February 19th or March 10th. $10 per person.
