Charlie Mato-Toyela is a flute maker, musician, and teacher dedicated to preserving and sharing the art of the Native American–style flute. Through his flute-making program, Charlie teaches students how to craft and understand these instruments while connecting with the tradition behind them. Drawing on decades of experience building and playing flutes, he guides participants through the process of transforming wood into a playable instrument and discovering the voice within it. His programs blend craftsmanship, music, and storytelling, creating an experience that is both educational and deeply meaningful.
