Start with an engaging talk on the remarkable diversity of Alberta’s native bees, how to identify them, how they differ from honeybees, and how their life cycles and nesting habits help them survive our climate. We’ll also discuss current conservation challenges, reasons for decline, and practical ways you can support native bees in your community.
Then, roll up your sleeves for a fun, hands-on native seed bomb making session using locally adapted native plant seeds. Learn how water-wise native plants support pollinators and add natural beauty to your space. Expect a bit of mess, each participant will take home seed bombs to plant and enjoy in the seasons ahead.
Pre-registration is required. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the workshop start time.
