Youth Parliament is a universal model, where youths practice their rights as the representative of their constituency and raise their voice for positive change and policy implementation. Believing in this, Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF) have taken the initiative to bring together 18-35 years aged shadow Youth parliament member/shadow Youth MP (who are selected by different test, community base projects and campaign) from all over the country and all universities regardless of their gender, religion, ethnicity or community.
Following in the steps of the National Parliament, this February 27, 2025 Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF), one of the largest youth-lead non-government, national youth award winner organization is hosting the Youth Parliament 2025.
Our aim is to create a platform where shadow youth parliament members will provide their opinion on the youth issues and exchange their ideas, ask questions to special guests, mentors, policy makers of different sessions. The recommendations from the shadow parliament will be sent to Honorable Chief Advisor of GoB, related ministries including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports and honorable Speaker of the national parliament.
The focusing areas of this session will be Youth Engagement in Environment and Youth Skills, Youth Demand in Democracy and Good Governance, Climate Change Resilience, Green Entrepreneurship, Reducing Environmental Impact etc.
Youth Parliament 2025 aims to create a positive effect to policy makers to think and implement new initiative based on the innovative thinking of youth leaders to better tackle the fallout of Youth in education and sustainable job placement. This initiative also helps the participating youths realize their innate leadership qualities and develop their ability as a leader and entrepreneur, which is one of goals DYDF has always been striving towards.
The Important Segments of this Youth Parliament are:
• Enabling policy environment and Advancing Youth Skills for Placement of Youth in Economic Activities: Policy Gaps, Challenges and the Way Forward.
• Youth Demand for Democratic and Good Governance: Shaping the Next National Parliament Election and Redefining 'Bangladesh 2.0
• Climate Change and resilience: Advancing Green Entrepreneurship Leveraging Sectoral Expertise and Reducing Economic Loss and Environmental Impact.
