About this Event
A 45 minute storytelling session for children aged 5-10. Pair the talk with a £25 lunch add-on, available from 1pm the day of the session.
It's National Storytelling Week! Join Amy Douglas and Jason Buck in a storytelling celebration of the Isle of Britain. Traditional myths, legends and folk tales of England, Scotland and Wales. This land is layered in legend, full of stories of magic and mystery, boggarts and bogles, dragons and worms. Every mountain, field and river has a story to tell.
Over the past twenty years, Amy has delved deep into the folklore of Britain, reveling in tales of the strange and macabre; memories of magic and otherworlds; proud recollections of folk history; stories to make you smile, sigh or shiver; stories that have been moulded by the land, weather and generations of tongues wagging. Her three folk tale collections have all received Storytelling World Awards.
Jason Buck is a man made of myth, magic and mead. His stories are filled with adventure, his beard is full of unexpected twists and his tankard filled with a poet's brew. Sit around the fire and listen to his tales - you won't be disappointed." Abbie, West Sussex.
