National Park Explorers: Isle Royale (ages 6-12) – Wednesday, September 10 (1-2 pm & 4-5 pm) A program where science meets adventure! Join us on the second Wednesday of each month to explore the natural beauty, history, wildlife, and geological wonders of America’s National Parks. Each month will highlight a different park’s unique features, and we’ll conduct a hands-on experiment designed to explore the science behind them. In September, this program will highlight Isle Royale National Park. Located in Lake Superior near Michigan’s border with Canada, this park encompasses the 4th largest freshwater lake island in the world. We’ll learn why this park is utterly unique, and we’ll also discover some ways in which life on Isle Royale is similar to lake life in North Idaho!
This event is intended for children ages 6-12 years old
