Come celebrate the role of libraries in our civic life! Public libraries were founded on the radical idea that a thriving democracy requires communities with free and equitable access to information, resources, and public space. This week, we invite you to honor that history and help us write the next chapter. In partnership with the Office of the Secretary of State’s Civic Engagement Program, join us for a festive afternoon of “library joy” and community connection. Drop in to the meeting room to share your library stories in our civic storytelling booth, send a postcard, or help create a community zine. We’ll have cake, library/civics trivia, and more. Come tell us about your dream library of the future!
