🐾🎇 National ID Your Pet Day Event: Keep Your Pups Safe This July 4th! 🎆🐾
Did you know that many lost dogs in the Golden Isles end up at Glynn County Animal Services without any form of ID? This creates a heartbreaking ripple effect: because pets without IDs must be held for a mandatory stray period, they take up space in a shelter that is already at capacity. When those kennels fill up, it’s often the dogs who have been there the longest — the ones already on the euthanasia list — who are put at immediate risk to make room for the new arrivals.
We also know that even for the most diligent pet owners, some dogs are true escape artists, especially when spooked by loud noises. We want to help your dog skip the shelter entirely and get back to you sooner — and keep those kennel spaces open for the dogs who need them most!
In honor of National ID Your Pet Day (July 1st), join Grateful Cats/Canines Allies & Supporters for our upcoming event! We’re helping you prep for the July 4th fireworks — the time of year when the most pets go missing.
