The 2026 Southeast Regional National History Day in-person contest will take place at the NHC Government Center on Saturday, March 14 (both junior & senior divisions). In this regional competition, students in grades 6-12 move beyond the classroom to bring history to life. Based on in-depth research, student projects take the form of historical paper, documentary, performance, exhibit, or web page. The 2026 competition theme is “Revolution, Reaction, and Reform in History.
