National Demonstration for Palestine: There is No Ceasefire! Under the slogan of 'There is No Ceasefire in Palestine', and to highlight more than two years of impunity for Apartheid Israel’s continuing genocide in Gaza in which it has slaughtered more than 72,000 Palestinians, and tp protest the Irish government’s continued refusal to hold the Apartheid state accountable, the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, supported by over 170 Irish civil society organisations, has called another National Demonstration for Palestine Saturday 21st February.
The march will begin at the Garden of Remembrance at 1pm and finish outside the Dáil on Molesworth Street/Kildare Street to bring our demands to the Irish government’s doorstep.
Disabled Access Note: Disabled access point will be outside the back gate of Trinity, at the intersection of D’Olier Street and College Green.
PLEASE JOIN, SHARE & INVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK, THANKS!
We are marching to highlight that the so-called 'Gaza ceasefire' is a fiction; Israel has violated the 'ceasefire' more than 1,500 times, killing some 550 people and injuring 1,360 more since October 10. Aid is still highly restricted and controlled by Israel, and Gaza remains in ruins. Meanwhile ethnic cleansing continues apace in the West Bank, Israel continues to bomb Lebanon - all conducted with absolute impunity as western powers try to gaslight us into thinking this relentless colonial violence constitutes as 'ceasefire'.
Gaza has become the graveyard of international law, and we are now in a world where 'might makes right' - the mask of 'liberal humanitarianism' has been discarded, and hard power imperialism is running rampant once again, from the 'Donroe' doctrine to even the ICE occupations of US cities.
Meanwhile, abdicating its responsibility to the Palestinian people, the Irish government is busy stalling and backtracking on promises to take action - so it's imperative that we hit the streets in large numbers once again to pile the pressure on. We've seen victories thanks to our collective movement in Ireland - but we demand so much more!
We need to bring people’s rage to the government’s doorstep – no more pathetic excuses, no more hiding behind legalese, no more empty words: we want sanctions on Israel now!
SANCTIONS & ARMS EMBARGO NOW!
STOP THE CENTRAL BANK FUNDING GENOCIDE!
PASS THE OTB, INCLUDING SERVICES!
NO WEAPONS THROUGH IRISH AIRSPACE OR AIRPORTS!
JOIN THE HAGUE GROUP!
NO TO THE ANTI-PALESTINIAN IHRA DEFINITION OF ANTISEMITISM!
END REPRESSION OF THE PALESTINE SOLIDARITY MOVEMENT!
END ISRAELI APARTHEID!
FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE!
